Cultivated with care and respect to give life to our unique wines.
Located in the hamlet of Vicomarino, in one of the most geo-climatically favorable areas, the Ferraia Estate covers 40 hectares of vineyards. For the Manara family, wine quality starts right here in the vineyard, where each grape variety is carefully chosen and grown in harmony with the local soil and microclimate. Each vineyard is designed to ensure maximum expression of aromatic characteristics, with a controlled yield per hectare and constant attention to each stage of cultivation and harvest.
Vineyard management at Ferraia Estate represents a balance between innovation and tradition. The classic Guyot training form has been updated with short pruning to limit productivity and improve grape quality. Vineyard grassing not only helps maintain environmental sustainability but also curbs soil erosion, ensuring responsible viticulture.
During harvesting, the use of modern equipment makes it possible to optimize the harvest, preserving the best qualities of the grapes. This combination of traditional techniques and advanced technological solutions allows the Manara family to produce wines that express the essence of the land and dedication to quality.
For generations, the Manara family has been a point of reference for viticulture in Ziano Piacentino. Ferraia Winery is an expression of a perfect balance between quality and innovation. Every stage of production is followed with care and passion, from the vineyard to the bottle, to create wines that best express the character of the land and local wine excellence.
Each step in the winemaking process is designed to respect the character of each grape variety. White grapes are gently pressed to preserve aromas and freshness, while red grapes macerate for a long time to extract tannins and complexity. Aging in steel or barriques ensures wines of rich aromas that best express their authenticity.
